Journey
Where I started
I started at Yahoo in 2019 as a Content Analyst and Knowledge Engineer, extracting insights from large-scale data to improve product personalization for 200M+ Yahoo Mail users and ship data-driven marketing features — partnering closely with Engineering to automate workflows and reduce latency across Yahoo Mail's data pipelines.
Where I evolved
In 2022 I moved into a Product Data Scientist role, digging into queries and session data across Web and Mobile to surface a 19% search failure rate — work that influenced leadership to fund dedicated product squads, and was recognized with Yahoo's Above and Beyond Product Impact award. I carried that same rigor into spearheading the Yahoo Search redesign across US and International markets, driving a 4% increase in search box engagement, while also tracking the competitive landscape of Generative AI products like ChatGPT and Gemini to sharpen how Yahoo's own products should differentiate.
Where I'm going
Since June 2024 I've stepped into Product Strategy for Yahoo's AI & Data products — owning the end-to-end lifecycle for Yahoo Scout (AI/LLM-powered) and growing Scout consumer engagement by 12%, while building AI-powered tools with Claude Code — an experiment review agent and agentic dashboards — plus a Success Metrics Builder built with Claude, together saving my team hours every week. I've also run structured A/B experiments on Yahoo's Generative AI module and independently designed and shipped the PM Experiment Planner, an AI tool that helps PMs plan structure A/B experiments. I'm now looking for the next room to bring that same instinct: start with the data, ship something that finds its way into people's daily routine.
